Mental illnesses are experienced by an estimated 54 million Americans each year, and are the number one cause of low productivity in the workplace. One of employers' most important roles is to inform employees that mental illnesses are real and affect not only their personal lives, but also their time in the workplace. Providing this education will lead to stigma reduction - a large barrier in employees accessing mental health services.
By investing in the mental health of employees, an investment is made in the productivity of the workplace. Both employees and employers know that a mentally healthy workforce is linked to lower medical costs - which are beneficial for everyone. What may not be known is how to get from A to B: How does a company change a mentally unhealthy workplace into a healthy workplace?
These topics and more will be covered in this informative and timely educational event. We look forward to seeing you in August!
