Legislature Adjourns for King Holiday and Joint Budget Hearings
The House and Senate adjourned after brief sessions for the beginning of the King Holiday events and for next week's joint budget hearings. Advocates will be watching as legislators seek further explanations of budget items from Department Heads. Rep. Jeff Brown, Chair of the House Appropriations Health Subcommittee, has invited advocates to provide questions to the committee, saying he knows how frustrating it is to sit in the audience knowing there is an important question that is not being asked.
