Day 21 - Feb. 21, 2008

The legislature has announced its schedule for the next two weeks.  The House and Senate will adjourn this Friday, in order to allow the Budget conference committee to meet and work out agreements on the Supplemental Budget. Thus, the General Assembly will stand in recess until Tuesday, February 26, 2008 when they will return for Legislative Day 23 of the Session. Additionally, they will adjourn on February 29, 2008 and not reconvene until March 4, 2008 for Legislative Day 27 of the Session.

When he announced the schedule to the members of the House, Representative Jerry Keen announced that the week of March 4 could be a short one, as legislators work to pass the FY 09 budget.
