Legislators were busy with committee work today.  The House Education Committee completed a two day public hearing on HB 10 which would provide private school vouchers to special education students.  The Health and PeachCare Subcommittee of the House Children and Youth Committee heard a presentation by Mark Trail of DCH on eligibility verification.  The House Judiciary Committee discussed HB 50, the Interstate Compact for Juveniles, but failed to reach resolution.  The Committee will continue to consider the bill at its hearing tomorrow. The Senate Labor and Insurance Committee held a hearing today on SB 13, the bill to increase the minimum wage by $2.10 per hour.  After hearing public comments, the committee voted to kill the bill, 4-3.
