A proposed constitutional amendment to declare English as the official language of Georgia (HR 413) was defeated on the House floor today, however, the bill will be up for reconsideration.

The Senate passed SB 474 which states sexual offenders must be supervised and monitored as to their use of the Internet so as to avoid any possible access to a child. ISPs are to preserve records and other evidence for at least 90 days. State board of education must develop model curricula for online safety while using the Internet and local school systems must teach this or similar curricula beginning with grade 3
