Day 27 - 3/01/2007

>> Back to Daily Highlights

Today was the last day of activity on the House and Senate floor before the General Assembly adjourns for a two week recess.  During the next two weeks, committees-- in particular the Appropriations committees-- will continue to meet.

Both chambers had full agendas.  The Senate passed several bills of interest to child advocates today.  SB 98, a bill that protects minors from sexual exploitation on the internet, passed.  The Senate also unanimously passed SB 86 which requires that all passengers in pick up trucks wear seatbelts and SB 188 which extends the Foster Parents Bill of Rights to privately placed parents.
