Today marks the end of the first week of the legislative session. The legislature will recess next week for Martin Luther King Day and to work on the budget.
Upcoming meetings:
The Senate Appropriations Education Subcommittee will meet on Tuesday, January 22, 2008 in Room 216 of the State Capitol from 1:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.
The House Appropriations Education Subcommittee will meet on Thursday, January 24, 2008 in Room 403 of the State Capitol from 10:30 a.m. ? 11:30 a.m.
The House Appropriations Health Subcommittee will meet on Tuesday, January 22, 2008 in Room 606 of the Coverdell Office Building from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Four days of joint hearings on the supplemental state budget for the current fiscal year and the proposed budget for fiscal year 2009 will be held next week at the capitol by the House and Senate Appropriations Committees.

Kathy Cox and Thursday's hearings which will cover DCH, DHR, and Juvenile Justice beginning at 10:30 am.
