Georgia improves in 2007 Kids Count rankings

7/25/2007

The Georgia Family Connection Partnership today released the newly updated Kids Count data book showing slight improvements in areas such as teen pregnancy and high school drop-out rates, bringing the state's ranking from last year's 44th to 41st.  A higher poverty rate and other factors still leaves Georgia in the bottom ten of states.  Kids Count is affiliated with the Annie E. Casey Foundation and is the acknowledged measure for child well being in the U.S.
