AJC: Governor cancels special session

It's being reported today by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that Gov. Perdue has decided to withdraw his veto of the mid-year budget and simply cut a disputed $142 million tax refund in a line item veto, eliminating any possibility of a special session.

The 2007 legislative session officially ended on April 20 before an agreement on the mid-year budget could be reached.
