Voices welcomes Joann Yoon as its new child policy specialist

Voices for Georgia's Children welcomes Joann M. Yoon to fill its newly created position of child policy specialist.
Joann will work alongside policy director Lauren Waits, focusing on analysis and outreach to support the health agenda aspects of Voices’ early childhood and juvenile justice agendas. She will produce recommendations, draft policy memos and briefs as well as represent Voices in public forums and discussions of child and family policy.
Joann brings a professional background as an attorney in community service capacities to the newly created child policy specialist position. Prior to Voices, she was a staff attorney for the Health Law Partnership providing free representation to families of children treated at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and briefings for hospital staff on legal matters involving Medicaid, Social Security and issues.
An Ohio native, Joann received her Juris Doctor degree from Emory University School of Law.
