SAFE KIDS in Georgia

From Silence to Solutions

Safety is one of five result areas driving Voices’ agenda for children in Georgia. In each result area Voices has set an objective to be reached by 2015.

Put Kids on Your Radar

Voices’ goal is to reduce reports of substantiated abuse/neglect to 14 per 1,000 Georgia children from our current rate of 19 per 1,000 by 2015.  A particularly vulnerable group of children are zero to five year olds, who comprise 42% of all substantiated cases.  Abuse and neglect not only measures a rate of harm, but also indicates how Georgians value the health and safety of children in their communities.
