Georgia Birth to Five Coalition
The Georgia Birth to Five Coalition seeks to build consensus among advocates, policymakers and legislators around commitments for the state to pursue that would bolster support for children in the critical 0 – 5 age group. This coalition will focus on the broadening and quality of child care and Pre-Kindergarten education, medical care and family support services, as outlined in Voices' Compounding Interest report.
Healthy Steps
Voices spent two years with support from the Healthcare Georgia Foundation to create a simple, easily-understood way to measure children’s health across the state and communicate policy implications related to children’s health. The Five Healthy Steps Indidcators
identifies five key areas of health across the developmental stages of childhood.
Through annual reports and advocacy, Voices push to make the tracking of low birth weight, timely immunizations, oral health status, physical fitness, weight status and depressed mood a standard procedure during regular examinations. Follow this link to download the latest Healthy Steps report.

JUSTGeorgia
JUSTGeorgia is a partnership of Voices, the Barton Child Law and Policy Clinic at Emory University, and Georgia Appleseed to build a statewide coalition of groups and individuals having a stake in the juvenile justice system. At the core of the partnership is a commitment to propose a revised Juvenile Code as legislation in 2009 as well as continued monitoring of its implementation . Accompanying the proposed legislation will be a comprehensive report summarizing the strengths and weaknesses of the current Code and making practical and realistic recommendations for fixing it.

Children's Policy Watch at the Capitol
Children’s Policy Watch at the Capitol is Voices' annual legislative day held at the start of each session of the Georgia General Assembly. The intended outcome is to ensure that children’s issues remain a focal point of the legislature and other state officials. Further, policy makers can be made aware of resources to increase their understanding of children’s issues.
The annual fundraiser for Voices, the Big Voice for Children Awards dinner recognizes Georgians who have elevated the importance of policy and advocacy in improving the conditions of children in the state.
