Mission Statement
For the Georgia Birth to Five Coalition
By advancing an integrated and comprehensive set of policies and investments, the Georgia Birth-to-Five Coalition promotes the healthy development, education and care of all Georgia’s children to ensure that they are prepared for an engaged, educated and productive childhood and adulthood.
The Coalition’s Approach
The Coalition will build public understanding of the importance of these policies and investments and create and utilize strategic advocacy opportunities to develop public will for their enactment and implementation. In doing so, the Coalition will highlight the critical nature of children’s earliest years, support the central role of parents in children’s healthy development, promote high quality environments and services, and engage business, government, and the nonprofit, faith and civic sectors to take leadership on behalf of young children and their families.
